New ultrasound could better track carpal tunnel treatment

Summary
This study tests a new ultrasound technique to measure stiffness in the wrist for people with carpal tunnel syndrome. Researchers will check the nerve and surrounding tissue before and after treatment (either a shot or surgery). The goal is to see if this ultrasound method can track how well the treatment is working. About 20 adults with symptoms in one wrist will take part.
