Simple stretches may ease carpal tunnel pain

NCT ID NCT06519058

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a special self-stretching technique to standard physical therapy can better reduce pain and improve hand function in people with mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome. 36 adults with stage I or II carpal tunnel took part. One group did the self-stretching plus usual therapy, while the other group did only usual therapy for 6 weeks. The results will show if the extra stretching makes a meaningful difference.
