Sugar-Water injections tested for numb, painful hands

NCT ID NCT07207460

Summary

This study tested three different ways to inject a simple sugar-water solution around a pinched nerve in the wrist to treat carpal tunnel syndrome. Researchers compared an ultrasound-guided method, a different ultrasound-guided angle, and a traditional 'blind' injection in 74 adults with mild to moderate symptoms. The goal was to see which technique best reduces pain and improves hand function over three months.
