NCT ID NCT05764772

First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study checks if a new type of CT scan can accurately identify the different parts of plaque in the carotid artery (like calcium, fat, and bleeding) in people who have had a stroke. About 70 participants will get this CT scan and possibly an MRI or have their plaque tissue examined after surgery. The goal is to improve how doctors see and measure plaque, which may help prevent future strokes.
