First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a quick, non-invasive neck ultrasound done before anesthesia can predict a dangerous drop in blood pressure after anesthesia in women having gynecologic cancer surgery. Researchers measured blood flow in the carotid artery and checked patients' overall health and frailty. The goal was to find a simple way to identify high-risk patients and improve safety during surgery.
