Summary

This study looked at how healthy men absorb beneficial plant compounds called polyphenols from a carob-based drink. Fifteen normal-weight men drank the beverage and had their blood and urine tested. The goal was to identify which polyphenol metabolites appear after consumption, not to treat or cure any disease.
