First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at two methods for cleaning deep cavities in permanent teeth: removing all decay or leaving a thin layer near the nerve. Researchers want to see which approach better keeps the tooth nerve healthy and causes less pain after treatment. Fifteen adults with two similar deep cavities will each get both methods on different teeth and be followed for a year.
