First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study compares a toothpaste with 2% calcium hypophosphite to a standard fluoride toothpaste (1450 ppm F) to see if it can prevent cavities just as well. About 164 adults with healthy teeth will use one of the two toothpastes for 18 months. Researchers will check for new cavities using dental exams and X-rays.
