Can a simple training stop painful bedsores for homebound patients?

NCT ID NCT07313046

Summary

This study tested whether teaching caregivers how to prevent pressure ulcers (bedsores) could lower the risk for patients receiving care at home. Caregivers for 57 patients learned about skin care, safe repositioning, and other prevention methods. Researchers then compared the patients' risk of developing bedsores before and after the training to see if it helped.
