NCT ID NCT07515703
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at a two-step procedure for people with severely calcified heart arteries. First, doctors used a special device to break up the hard plaque, then they inflated a drug-coated balloon to keep the artery open. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and works well without needing a permanent stent. The study included 134 patients and measured success rates and heart-related events over time.
