New imaging study aims to predict heart crisis in amyloidosis patients

Summary
This study will use a special PET/MRI scan to see if it can predict serious heart events like death or hospitalization in people with cardiac amyloidosis. About 25 adults with proven amyloidosis will get one scan and then be followed for up to 2 years. The goal is to find out which scan measurements best warn of future heart trouble.
