Researchers dig into decades of data on rare tumors
NCT ID NCT07317726
Summary
This study looked back at over 20 years of data from a national cancer registry to understand trends in how gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors are staged when first diagnosed. It analyzed information from over 93,000 patients to see if these rare tumors are being detected earlier over time. The goal was to gather knowledge about diagnosis patterns, not to test a treatment.
