First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests if drinking a clear carbohydrate-rich beverage two hours before a planned cesarean section can improve recovery and comfort. One hundred women will be randomly assigned to receive either the carbohydrate drink or plain distilled water. Researchers will measure recovery scores, hunger, thirst, and anxiety after surgery to see if the drink makes a difference.
