New 'Living Drug' tested as last hope for tough blood cancers

NCT ID NCT03853616

Summary

This is an early-stage safety study testing a new type of personalized cell therapy called MB-CART19.1. It aims to find a safe dose for adults and children whose B-cell blood cancers (like leukemia or lymphoma) have returned or not responded to standard treatments. The therapy involves collecting a patient's own immune cells, modifying them in a lab to better target cancer, and then infusing them back into the patient.
