Breakthrough CAR T-Cell therapy tested as first defense against aggressive lymphoma

Summary
This study tests whether a one-time infusion of a patient's own genetically modified immune cells (axicabtagene ciloleucel) works better than standard chemotherapy for people newly diagnosed with high-risk large B-cell lymphoma. About 300 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the cell therapy or usual care. The main goal is to see if the cell therapy delays cancer progression or death.
