Immune cell therapy tested for Tough-to-Treat cancers

NCT ID NCT04627740

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested a new cell therapy for patients with advanced solid tumors that had stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors collected immune cells from patients, modified them in a lab to target a specific protein (ALPP) found on their tumors, and then infused them back. The main goals were to check if this treatment was safe and to see if it could help control the cancer.
