Scientists re-engineer Patient's own immune cells to fight incurable bone cancer

NCT ID NCT07227571

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new treatment called CAR T-cell therapy for patients with advanced osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer that has come back or stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target the cancer, and then infuse them back into the patient. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if this approach can help control the cancer in patients who have few other options.
