Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight lupus

NCT ID NCT06711146

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new type of cell therapy called Meta10-19 CAR-T for people with moderate to severe active lupus. The therapy involves taking a patient's own immune cells, modifying them in a lab to better target the B cells thought to drive lupus, and then infusing them back. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe and if it can help control lupus disease activity.
