Scientists reprogram Patients' own cells to fight back against severe autoimmune diseases
NCT ID NCT07361094
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new cell therapy for adults with severe autoimmune diseases like lupus, multiple sclerosis, and scleroderma that have not improved with standard treatments. Doctors collect a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target the disease, and infuse them back into the patient. The main goal is to see if this one-time treatment is safe and to look for early signs that it might help control these difficult conditions.
