Scientists test revolutionary cell therapy for untreatable bowel disease
NCT ID NCT07435779
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a personalized cell therapy called CAR-T for people with severe ulcerative colitis that hasn't responded to standard medications. Doctors will collect immune cells from 12 participants, modify them in a lab to potentially fight intestinal inflammation, and reinfuse them. The main goals are to check if the treatment is safe and whether it can help patients achieve remission over 12 weeks.
