New CAR-T cell therapy trial offers hope for patients with Tough-to-Treat blood cancers

Summary
This study is testing an experimental cell therapy called JCAR017 for adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) that has come back or hasn't responded to other treatments. The therapy involves modifying a patient's own immune cells to fight the cancer. Researchers are testing JCAR017 alone and in combination with other cancer drugs to find the safest, most effective dose and see how well it works.
