Scientists test 'Living Drug' as last hope against untreatable fungus

Summary
This is a first-in-human safety study testing a new type of cell therapy for patients with severe, drug-resistant fungal infections. The therapy uses 'off-the-shelf' natural killer immune cells that are genetically engineered to target the infection. The study will enroll 10 adults to find a safe dose and check for side effects.
