Swallow a thermometer? study tests new Fever-Tracking pill for vulnerable patients
NCT ID NCT04174053
Summary
This study tested a new way to check for fever in cancer patients with very low infection-fighting cells. Researchers compared temperatures from a special swallowed capsule to those from a standard ear thermometer. The goal was to see if the capsule could reliably detect fevers earlier, potentially helping doctors start antibiotic treatment sooner.
