First seen May 06, 2026 ยท Last updated May 06, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a capsaicin (chili pepper extract) skin patch works better than oral pregabalin for nerve pain that starts soon after breast cancer surgery. 140 women who had surgery for breast cancer and developed nerve pain within 2 months were enrolled. The goal was to see if early treatment with the patch could prevent pain from becoming chronic.
