Scientists hunt for cannabis 'Clock' in blood to make roads safer

NCT ID NCT06975020

Summary

This study aims to find better ways to tell when someone last used cannabis, which could help police and courts more accurately assess driver impairment. Researchers will compare blood samples and other tests from 120 regular cannabis users and non-users. The goal is to discover biological markers that can estimate the timing of cannabis use, since current THC blood tests don't reliably show if someone is too impaired to drive.
