First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether cannabidiol (CBD) can reduce severe self-injuries, like biting or head-banging, in 21 children aged 5-17 with severe neurodevelopmental disorders. Researchers will measure if the frequency of self-harm drops by at least 30% after 63 days of treatment. The goal is to find a safer way to manage these distressing behaviors.
