Scientists test 'Seed' radiation to heat up tumors for better immunotherapy response

NCT ID NCT07277777

Not yet recruiting Disease control Sponsor: Li Min Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing if placing tiny, permanent radioactive seeds directly into a tumor can make immunotherapy work better for people with cancer. Researchers think the low-dose radiation from the seeds might help 'wake up' the immune system to attack the tumor more effectively. The trial will compare the combination of seeds plus immunotherapy against immunotherapy alone in 90 patients with various types of cancer.
