Light and zaps tested to ease cancer surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07334938

Summary

This study is testing if two non-drug therapies can help patients feel better after surgery for head and neck cancer. Researchers want to see if using a special light therapy (far-infrared) and a gentle electrical skin stimulation (TENS) can reduce pain, improve neck movement, and lower body inflammation. They are comparing these treatments in 90 patients over five days to find which approach works best for recovery.
