Massive study tracks if genetic tests help older adults dodge cancer
NCT ID NCT03897374
Summary
This study aims to learn if using genetic test results helps doctors recommend better cancer prevention and early detection strategies for older adults. It will observe 120,000 people aged 65 and older who have a personal or family history of cancer and have already had a specific genetic test ordered by their doctor for medical reasons. The researchers will collect data to see if this genetic information leads to beneficial health actions and outcomes over time.
