Web tool aims to spot hidden cancer risk in families
NCT ID NCT05079334
Summary
This study is testing a web-based tool called MeTree that helps collect detailed family health histories from patients. The goal is to see if this tool helps doctors more efficiently identify people who may be at high risk for inherited cancers, so they can be offered genetic counseling and appropriate screening. Researchers are comparing the tool's effectiveness to the standard way doctors collect family history in clinics.
