Pain relief showdown: zaps vs pills for cancer leg pain

NCT ID NCT06240377

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if two non-drug treatments—ultrasound-guided nerve stimulation and transcranial direct current stimulation—could reduce lower limb pain in cancer patients better than standard pain medication. The trial was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available. It would have included adults aged 18-65 with cancer-related knee pain who were already taking pain medication.
