Summary
This early-stage study tested whether combining an experimental cancer drug with a special diet designed to lower insulin could make treatment safer and more effective. It involved 34 adults with advanced solid tumors that had specific genetic changes (PIK3CA mutations). The main goals were to see if the drug-diet combo was tolerable and if it helped control the cancer.
