Pregnancy blood test could uncover hidden cancers
NCT ID NCT07448025
Summary
This study investigates whether routine prenatal blood tests, which screen for fetal genetic conditions, can also detect early-stage cancer in pregnant women. Researchers will analyze blood samples from 300 pregnant women with cancer to identify specific genetic patterns that signal maternal cancer. The goal is to improve how doctors interpret unusual test results and potentially catch cancers earlier when they're more treatable.
