Digital vs. paper: which cancer decision tool works best?
NCT ID NCT05573022
Summary
This study tested whether the timing and format of a decision aid affects how well cancer patients can participate in choosing their treatment. 274 patients with breast or colorectal cancer received either a digital tool before their doctor's appointment or a paper version during the appointment. Researchers measured how involved patients felt in the decision-making process to understand which approach better supports patients facing complex treatment choices.
