First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at 123 women who had a copper IUD inserted for birth control. Researchers measured the angle between the womb and the cervix using ultrasound to see if it could predict whether the IUD would shift out of its correct position. The goal was to find a simple way to identify women at higher risk of IUD displacement, which could help improve contraceptive effectiveness.
