First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study is testing whether placing 15 plants in two rooms of a hospital lab can reduce the amount of formaldehyde in the air. Formaldehyde is a chemical used to preserve tissue samples, but it can be harmful to breathe. The researchers will measure formaldehyde levels in the air and in the urine of 30 staff members before and after adding the plants. The goal is to see if plants can help make the workplace safer.
