Chewing gum could make colon cancer screening less awful
NCT ID NCT07320989
Summary
This study is testing if chewing sugar-free gum can make the bowel preparation for a colonoscopy easier to tolerate. Researchers will randomly assign 160 participants to either chew gum or not during their prep to see if it reduces nausea and discomfort. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost way to help more people complete this important cancer screening test.
