NCT ID NCT05402579

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at the genes of 63 people with type 2 diabetes to see if certain DNA variations could predict who is at risk for diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) when taking SGLT2 inhibitors. Researchers compared the DNA of people who had DKA while on the drug to those who did not. The goal is to help doctors identify who can safely use these life-saving drugs and who might need extra monitoring.
