Parent reports vs. camera scopes: which catches tracheostomy trouble first?

NCT ID NCT07121517

First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at 100 children with tracheostomies to see if symptoms noticed by parents or pediatricians can predict serious airway complications. Researchers compare these reports with findings from routine camera exams (endoscopy) done under anesthesia. The goal is to understand how often complications have no warning signs and how reliable caregiver observations really are.
