First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a urine test that looks for tumor DNA can accurately detect bladder cancer, potentially replacing the need for an invasive cystoscopy. Researchers will collect urine samples from 3,000 people who are already scheduled for a cystoscopy due to blood in their urine. If the test proves reliable, it could spare many patients from an uncomfortable procedure and reduce healthcare costs.
