First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding calisthenic (bodyweight) exercises to regular kickboxing training improves strength and endurance. Twenty healthy young male kickboxers were split into two groups: one did calisthenics plus their usual training, the other only did their usual training. After 8 weeks, the researchers measured grip, leg, and back strength, as well as push-up and sit-up performance.
