First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a technique called instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) can reduce calf muscle stiffness and improve ankle flexibility. Forty healthy adults received a single IASTM treatment, and their muscle stiffness and ankle range of motion were measured before and after. The goal was to see if this manual therapy can provide immediate benefits for muscle tightness and joint movement.
