First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study will test whether applying a vitamin D-based drug (calcitriol) to the gums can speed up how fast a specific tooth moves during braces treatment. About 22 people needing upper canine retraction will take part. One side of the mouth gets the drug, the other side gets no treatment, and the difference in tooth movement is measured with 3D X-rays.
