Coffee before surgery? study tests caffeine to keep moms safe during C-Sections
NCT ID NCT07076654
Summary
This study tested if a simple cup of coffee (caffeine) taken before a planned C-section could prevent a dangerous drop in blood pressure caused by the spinal anesthesia. It involved 90 pregnant women having scheduled C-sections. Researchers compared women who received caffeine to those who did not to see if it reduced the risk of this common complication.
