Morning coffee shows promise for rare movement disorder
NCT ID NCT04351360
Summary
This small study explored whether caffeine might help reduce involuntary movements in people with ADCY5-related dyskinesia, a rare genetic movement disorder with no current treatment. Researchers interviewed 15 patients by phone about their experiences using caffeine for their symptoms. The study collected preliminary data based on patient reports rather than testing caffeine directly.
