First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a caffeinated sports drink with electrolytes and carbs can boost endurance, strength, and mental focus during exercise. Twenty-six trained cyclists rode for 2 hours in a warm room, then did strength and thinking tests after drinking different beverages. The goal was to see if the caffeinated drink helped them cycle faster, think clearer, and stay stronger compared to plain water or non-caffeinated versions.
