NCT ID NCT07597265
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether chewing caffeinated gum can improve volleyball performance in trained female players. Eleven athletes took part in three sessions: one with placebo gum, one with a single 300 mg dose of caffeine gum, and one with three 100 mg doses spread over time. Researchers measured skills like attacking, blocking, and defending during a volleyball game, as well as jump height and heart rate. The goal was to see if caffeine from gum gives a quick performance boost during volleyball.
