First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study is testing a new way to numb the arm for hand and forearm surgery by targeting a specific nerve root (C7) with an ultrasound-guided injection. The goal is to find the smallest amount of the numbing drug ropivacaine that still works well, which could reduce side effects like diaphragm weakness. About 56 adults having hand or forearm surgery will take part.
