First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 300 women who had a C-section to see which type of stitch (Vicryl, Monocryl, or Prolene) leads to fewer wound infections and better-looking scars. Researchers checked for infection 10 days after surgery and rated scar appearance at 2 and 6 months. The goal is to help doctors choose the best material for healing and cosmetic results.
