C-Section scar study: does a fancy bandage make a difference?

NCT ID NCT07482202

Summary

This study tested whether a modern polyurethane foam dressing leads to better-looking scars and fewer infections after a C-section compared to a traditional gauze dressing. 200 women who had C-sections were randomly assigned to receive one of the two dressings. Researchers then tracked how satisfied patients were with their scar's appearance and checked for any wound infections over the next six months.
